This is an opportunity for folks who have experience or knowledge about grazing diverse native grasslands to expand their knowledge. The theme this year will be diverse native grasslands and fire. Speakers will cover topics ranging from the historical incidence of fire on native grasslands, fire’s impact on soil health, the seasonality of burns and the associated effect on plants, the influence of fire on wildlife, and how fire impacts grazing. Participants will also have the opportunity to hone their plant identification skills, see the latest developments in the Hamilton’s diverse native grassland, and network with other folks.
