An early spring bloomer for the shade garden. Showy yellow flowers in April and May are held above lobed, blue-green leaves that bleed yellow.
Grows best in rich, moist soil in shade. Plants go dormant in early summer if soil dries out. Will naturalize by self-seeding if growing conditions are favorable. Ants distribute seeds.
Naturalize in shaded gardens or woodlands.
