Applied Ecological Services (AES) is a broad-based ecological consulting, contracting, and restoration firm providing services to foundations, governmental units, corporations, and commercial/ residential developers nationwide. The company consists of a multidisciplinary team of botanists, wildlife biologists, wetland scientists, prairie and ecosystem restoration specialists and scientists. Their website is filled with valuable information on native plants and restoration issues.

Great plants selected by the Kemper Center for Home Gardening staff at Missouri Botanical Garden. The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis promotes plant selections that are underutilized in the home landscape through the Plants of Merit program. Several excellent, landscape-worthy native plants are included in this program.
