FINCA EcoFarm Tour and Native Edibles Tasting

In collaboration with MPF’s Grow Native! program, Dr. Nadia Navarrete-Tindall and the Specialty Crops Program team at Lincoln University in Jefferson City will be available for self-guided tours of the FINCA EcoFarm on campus.

There will also be 30-minute guided tours available at 4:15 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:15 p.m., and 5:45 p.m.

Visitors will meet in front of the Teaching Greenhouse located on 1204 Chestnut Street in Jefferson City.

A finca is a small and highly diversified farm in Latin America. The FINCA at Lincoln campus has been established with native edibles including fruits, perennial greens, flowers and tubers and many wildflowers and other plants important for pollinators. The tour will consist of 8-10 stops and small native food samples will be served. This free tour is on level ground and easy walking.
