MPF volunteers can help steward the open woodlands at Cuivre River State Park near Troy, MO on Sunday, December 4 from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. by helping to create a fire break for a prescribed burn. (Back up date, in case of inclement weather, is Sunday, December 11, from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.) Work includes using backpack blowers, rakes, and loppers to create a clear perimeter for a safe burn.
