On June 8 from 1-4 p.m., Grow Native! is offering its first-ever Open House event to highlight some of our wonderful Native Gardens of Excellence located in the St. Louis, Kansas City, and mid-Missouri areas!
Each site will have representatives on hand to provide information to visitors, answer questions, and explain the various attributes and techniques that are used at the site. A map to each site can be found on each site’s individual webpage linked below.
Main Street Garden — St. Charles, MO
South Grand Business District — St. Louis, MO
Representatives will be stationed at the Ritz Park (located at 3147-3151 South Grand Blvd.) to greet visitors as they arrive. Brief tours of the native landscape, lasting around 30 minutes, will start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30 p.m.
Kaw Point Park Gardens — Kansas City, KS
Southern Boone County Public Library — Ashland, MO
Mayor’s Native Plant Garden at City Hall — Columbia, MO
Native Plant Outdoor Laboratory at Lincoln University — Jefferson City, MO
Native Plant Outdoor Laboratory will have before and after photos of the site, as well as native food snacks!
Registration is not required.
Note, though a representative will not be on hand to answer questions, you can also visit all 28 Native Gardens of Excellence anytime throughout the year during their regular open hours.
